Aquarium
In XCARET's aquarium, you'll be able to appreciate even the smallest details of beautiful coral reefs, one of the planet's richest ecosystems. Every effort has been made to reproduce the natural habitat of reefs and the atmosphere of these delicate ecosystems. Our tanks are fed by sea water, which flows directly and freely from the ocean, bringing with it numerous marine organisms.

Beach
The perfect complement to a day of fun is a moment on the beach. What could be better than strolling on soft white sands, talking a refreshing dip in the turquoise waters of the peaceful bay, frolicking in a giantinner tube, or admiring the ocean bed through the viewing window of a water-board!

The little 'Inlet
XCARET, which means 'little inlet' in Maya, owes its name to the small body of water filled with magnificent clear blue water and hundreds of tropical fish who happily approach swimmers. The inlet is the ideal place to learn how to snorkel since there are no waves or current, and it is only about 3.5 feet deep.

The Orchid Farm
Located in the heart of the Botanical Garden, You can not only admire famously-beautiful orchid, but also learn about their cultivation process. In our laboratory, you can see the various steps of orchid
development from a seed developed in vitro to just before it is transplanted to the greenhouse. Currently, we have succeeded in growing 89 of the 105 orchid species endemic to the region.

Wild Bird Breeding Aviary
The wild Bird Breeding Aviary is located behind the museum and displays a great number of birds mostly from the southeast of Mexico and many in danger of extinction. Xcaret is home to more than 44 species, among visitors favorites are macaws, tucans and flamingos.

Later, you will arrive to the open-air, hand-carved theater whose stage seems to float above the waters of the underground river that encircles it. A whirlwind of colorful embroided costumes, dances, rhythm, music + songs fill the atmosphere. Lively tap - dancing, the spirited blare of the mariachi and the boldness of the charros will transport you to the different Mexican States.
